Saturday – February 10th – Revelation 19:20     -----

19:20) Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
LIFE IS A LOT LIKE TENNIS— THE GOAL IS TO LEARN TO SERVE BEST.*

Good Saturday to you! This weekend we wrap up our first teaching series for 2024. Over the last six weeks we have searched scripture to help make sense “When Your Way Isn’t Working”. We have read stories of both Old Testament and New Testament heroes who learned the hard way when they attempted to do things their way and not God’s way. Tomorrow we will be talking about the importance of being grafted into vine. John 15 opens with the declaration by Jesus that He is the true vine. We can only produce God’s fruit when we are connected to Jesus. Join us for in-building worship at 8am and 9:45am or livestream and on-demand worship beginning at 9:45am.

In our pick verse today, we arrive at that moment all Heaven has been waiting for – the great battle between Jesus and the forces of evil. Spoiler alert - this long-anticipated all-out war at the world’s end never really materializes. John reports the results very simply: the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet. With the two ringleaders taken out, the enemy armies are without leadership. These two monsters who led the whole world away from God, now reap the punishment for what they have sown. They become the first ones ever to be thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. We can worship God today in full anticipation and confidence that God will be victorious over every corner of evil in this world and in the spiritual realms.

Blessings
