Monday – February 12th – Revelation 20:1    -----
20:1) Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven with the key to the bottomless pit and a heavy chain in his hand.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:

Hello to Monday! As we near the end of the book of Revelation, you will have an opportunity to review, refresh, or even catch up on what we have covered since beginning this book way back in April of 2023. The Wednesday night “Journey of A Lifetime” Bible study will embark on an expanded six-week overview of Revelation beginning on February 28th. You can sign up for the class by going to the SunRise “events” page through either the SunRise website or the app. To order the workbook go to and click on the ”Bible Survey” tab. See you on Wednesday the 28th at 6:30pm.

In our pick verse today, we begin the twentieth chapter of the book of Revelation. This is also the last chapter that records the fate of Satan and his allies. The final two chapters of the book, twenty-one and twenty-two describe the beauty of an existence without evil, death, or suffering. But we have fifteen verses of God’s judgment before we get there. The same angel John met in 9:1-2 holding the keys to the Abyss, reappears in today’s verse holding those same keys to the bottomless pit along with a great chain. The chain is purely symbolic in nature – as if a “chain” could begin to hold the devil, a spirit being. Most biblical scholars agree that the chain represents God’s power to defeat the devil.
