The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
COURAGE IS THE KNOWLEDGE OF HOW TO FEAR WHAT OUGHT TO BE FEARED AND HOW NOT TO FEAR WHAT OUGHT NOT TO BE FEARED.*

Welcome to Tuesday! Hey SunRise family and friends, I want to let you know about an informational meeting for those curious to know more about our summer adult mission trip to eastern Kentucky. Join us this Sunday following the second worship service (approximately 11am) to hear more about where we are going, what we will be doing, and the cost to participate. If you want to check your calendar the dates for the mission trip are Monday June 24th – Saturday June 29th. Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday for our informational meeting.

In our pick verse today, we come to now considered one of the most debated references in all of the book of Revelation. Up until now, John has not received anything substantial on the impending fate of Satan. In the most recent reference to Satan, he seemingly was still in charge of the world, calling forth the world’s armies for battle. Today’s verse reveals Satan’s fate as the angel with the key seized the dragon and bound him for a thousand years. It is these thousand years that creates thousands of conversations about “when” this period begins and ends. For this part, interpreters generally agree that this introductory scene is figurative and covers the entire period from the life of Jesus in history until the final end times. Again, any temptation to create an exact timeline for the ending part of this period flies against the symbolic nature of the use of numbers in Revelation or throughout the entire Bible.

Blessings
