Tuesday – March 5th – Revelation 20:12a -----
20:12) I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
GOD WILL KEEP ALL HIS PROMISES WHETHER YOU BELIEVE THEM OR NOT! *
Happy Tuesday! I love when God aligns our inspirational thought for the day with the verse of the Scripture we are reading in our blog. As you will see below, God has throughout the Bible called those who express their faith in Him to live a life of obedience to His word, His way, His will, and His when. God promises that if we trust in His promises we will be richly blessed in eternity. However, if we fail to trust, are disobedient, and/or live our lives totally for our selfish gains, then we will experience the just fruits as our reward. We may choose not to believe in what God promises, but every promise will come true.
In our pick verse today, John is recording the events of the final scenes following the defeat of the devil and the forces of evil. Not only will the Christian martyrs live again, but so will everyone else who had ever lived: “the dead, great and small”. None throughout history will be forgotten or escape this moment of individual and final judgment. Two different books are opened as part of God’s rendering the “fruit” of our labors. First is the set of books in which are recorded what each person has done throughout their life. A person’s righteous character is always revealed in their righteous deeds. Don’t be confused, this is not the gaining of salvation on the basis of good works, but works as the evidence of a person’s salvation.
Blessings
