Sunday – March 10th – Revelation 21:1     -----

21:1) Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the old heaven and the old earth had disappeared. And the sea was also gone.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
NO ONE CAN BE CALLED MATURE WHO DOES NOT LEARN FROM HIS OWN MISTAKES.*

Hello Sunday! If I were a betting man, I am pretty sure that every person reading this blog today has made at least one mistake in their life. Some of us, well maybe many of us, probably have multiple mistakes on our resume. The wisdom of our inspirational thought today is that the mature person learns from their own mistakes. I am pretty sure that means with learning comes non-repeating. If I am honest, my own maturity growth has been slow at times because there are a handful of repetitive mistake actions that seem to follow me. I once heard a person say that yes, a mature person learns from their mistakes, but an extremely wise person learns from the mistakes of others. It sure seems like a good way to learn a great lesson while avoiding the personal pain of mistakes.

In our pick verse today, we begin a new chapter in the book of Revelation, and a new vision for John. After the solemn judgment scene at the great white throne, the scene shifts with John viewing the appearance of what he describes as a new Heaven and new Earth. The bowls of God’s judgement in chapter sixteen had demolished the old earth. The God of creation was now busy once again. Whether John saw a transformation/renovation/reordering of the old elements of the universe, or possibly a brand-new universe spoken into existence by God, remains unclear. What John saw, however, transcends our understanding of anything that could exist in the universe either then or now. The rest of this chapter of scripture will attempt to describe the indescribable that goes beyond our human logic. What we will experience is the power of God at work on our behalf.

Blessings
