Sunday – March 24th – Revelation 21:21    -----

21:21) The twelve gates were made of pearls—each gate from a single pearl! And the main street was pure gold, as clear as glass.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
THE FAMILY ALTAR WOULD ALTER MANY A FAMILY.*

Good Sunday to you! Our inspirational thought for today seems very appropriate for our Sunday blog. Busy lives and hectic schedules not only have nudged out regular attendance in worship services over the last several decades, but similar challenges exist for us to connect with God on a daily basis. A family time of devotion is, in many homes, a lost spot on the daily calendar. While it is a little late for new years resolutions, it is never too late to make a commitment to increase your exposure to the word of God exposing your family to the love, grace, and peace of God.

In our pick verse today, John continues to share with us a glimpse of the untold beauty and splendor of the extent God will go to welcome us into our eternal home. Pearls were as highly prized in the ancient world as they are today. If the dimensions for the wall are in proportion to the gates, then each pearl would be at least two hundred feet in diameter. Also, in this verse we are introduced to a concept that is probably the most familiar to people when speaking of eternity. The immense size of the oyster required to produce a pearl, the size necessary to encompass an entire gate, is beyond our imagination. The streets of gold, pure as glass, represent both perfect purity and costliness beyond calculation. That is my friends, is exactly what God thinks of you and about you as He prepares a place for you in eternity.

Blessings
