Tuesday – January 26th – Ephesians 6:4

6:4 And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.

Good Tuesday morning.  Want to remind you that the in-building reservation system for both Thursday and Sunday worship has been retired at this time. Also, we will transition into live music and live sermons beginning on Sunday February 21st with services at 9am and 11am. Seating will be limited to 50 chairs in the worship space with appropriate social distancing and current health and safety procedures in place. Looking forward to seeing more smiling faces in the building in the coming months. Please be praying for an adequate supply of volunteers to step forward in worship ministry, hospitality ministry, and Family ministry. It takes a village of volunteers for SunRise to be back in the building each and every week.

In our pick verse for today from Ephesians six, Paul concludes this smaller section focused on the relationship between parents and children. Yesterday, we were instructed as children to honor and respect our parents, now going in the other direction parents are instructed to treat their children with mutual respect. With wisdom that should pass through each generation of believers, Paul encourages parents not to be unreasonably severe with children or stoop to humiliate or ridicule them. Instead, Christian parents are to instruct and correct them consistently in ways that will them to serve the Lord throughout their lives.

Blessings
 Pastor Jim
