As we look ahead to 2027, we invite you to prayerfully consider how God is calling you to grow, serve, and give through SunRise Church. Each of us has been blessed with unique gifts, time, and resources that can make a difference in our church family and beyond.

Service Opportunities:
Front Office
Data Entry
Help keep our church records current by entering weekend attendance and check-in information into Planning Center. This behind-the-scenes role helps us maintain accurate information for ministry and communication.
Time Commitment: Approximately 1–1½ hours per week; typically Monday or Tuesday.
Receptionist
Provide a welcoming presence at the front desk when our receptionist is away. Answer doors, receive packages and assist visitors or callers as needed.
Time Commitment: Occasional 3-hour shifts, as needed.

Monday Morning Maintenance (MMM)
A hands-on team that helps keep our building safe, functional and looking its best. Projects range from replacing lightbulbs and filters to minor repairs, furniture assembly and general maintenance.
Time Commitment: Monday mornings, approximately 2–3 hours.
Painting
Help keep our building fresh and welcoming by painting rooms, touching up walls or assisting with painting following repairs.
Time Commitment: Varies; scheduled as projects arise.
Kitchen Cleaning & Reset
Help keep our shared kitchen and storage areas clean, organized and ready to use. This includes organizing cabinets and drawers, clearing countertops, cleaning appliances and surfaces, restocking supplies, and resetting the kitchen pantry, coffee credenza and janitorial closets.
Time Commitment: Approximately 1–2 hours per week, Wednesday or Thursday.

Usher/Greeter
Be one of the first friendly faces people encounter on Sunday morning! Welcome guests and regular attenders, help people find their way and assist with simple worship needs.
Time Commitment: Approximately 1–2 hours on scheduled Sundays.
Communion Server
Serve Communion to the congregation during worship, helping distribute the bread and juice as part of the Communion service.
Time Commitment: Approximately 1–2 hours on scheduled Sundays.
Communion Bread Preparation
Prepare the bread used for Communion and have it ready for Sunday worship. Instructions and supplies are provided.
Time Commitment: Approximately 30–45 minutes on scheduled weeks.
Refreshments
Help create a welcoming Sunday-morning environment by preparing and maintaining our coffee and refreshment areas and helping with light cleanup afterward.
Time Commitment: Approximately 1–2 hours on scheduled Sundays.
Church Decorating
Help make SunRise welcoming and beautiful by assisting with seasonal decorating throughout the church, especially during Advent/Christmas and other special seasons.
Time Commitment: Several times throughout the year; typically 2–3 hours per decorating session.
Guest Popcorn Boxes
Help us welcome first-time guests by preparing our guest popcorn boxes with the materials and information provided.
Time Commitment: Approximately 1 hour as needed.
Sign-Up Scheduler
Help coordinate Hospitality volunteers by maintaining schedules, communicating openings and sending reminders to those serving.
Time Commitment: Approximately 1–2 hours per month.
Events Team Set-Up
Be part of the team that helps prepare spaces for church-wide and community events. Opportunities may include setting up tables and chairs, preparing other building areas and helping with event cleanup/reset.
Time Commitment: Varies by event; approximately 1–3 hours per event.
Off-Site Worship Campuses
Help bring SunRise worship to our assisted-living and senior-living communities. Volunteers help with setup, greet residents, assist with Communion and provide a caring SunRise presence.
Time Commitment: Approximately 1–2 hours on scheduled Sundays.

Children’s Sunday Mornings
Help children experience church as a place where they are known, loved and growing in faith. Opportunities include assisting with lessons, activities, small groups and classroom needs.
Time Commitment: Approximately 1 – ½ hours once a month on Sunday mornings.
Children’s Special Events
Help make Family Ministry events fun and welcoming for children and families by assisting with activities, games, food, setup or other event needs. (VBS, Trunk or Treat, Easter Bunny Breakfast etc..)
Time Commitment: Approximately 2-3 hours per event; typically, quarterly.
Children’s Busy Bags
Help prepare activity bags that children can use during worship, making sure supplies are organized, stocked and ready for Sunday mornings.
Time Commitment: Approximately 1 hour per month.
Kids Club
Build relationships with elementary-age children while helping with our Wednesday evening Kids Club. Assist with activities, games, lessons and creating a fun environment where kids can grow in their faith.
Time Commitment: Approximately 1 – ½ hours on scheduled Wednesday evenings.
Youth Group
Build relationships with middle and high school students and help create a safe, fun place for them to connect, ask questions and grow in their faith. Assist leaders with activities, discussion and weekly programming.
Time Commitment: Approximately 1 – ½ hours on scheduled Sunday evenings.
Youth Group Events
Help with special events designed to build community and faith among our students. Volunteers may assist with activities, food, transportation, setup or other event needs.
Time Commitment: Approximately 2-4 hours per event.
Provide a safe, caring and welcoming environment for our youngest children while their families participate in worship. Volunteers play, comfort and care for children alongside other team members.
Time Commitment: Approximately 1 – ½ hours once a month on Sunday mornings.
Children’s Sunday Mornings
Help children experience church as a place where they are known, loved and growing in faith. Opportunities include assisting with lessons, activities, small groups and classroom needs.

Children’s Special Events

Serve alongside adult leaders in a children’s classroom by helping with activities, games, crafts and other classroom needs. It’s a great way for students to use their gifts while being a positive role model for younger children.
Time Commitment: Approximately 1 – ½ hours on scheduled Sunday mornings.
Family Worship
Take an active role in helping lead Family Worship through Scripture reading, prayer, music, greeting, serving or other worship elements.
Time Commitment: 1-2 hours per opportunity; several times throughout the year.
Family Ministry Events
Help make special events great for younger children and families by assisting with games, activities, setup, cleanup and other event needs.

Join a community of singers who help lead Christ-centered worship through a variety of musical styles. Participate in rehearsals, the 8:00 Traditional Service and occasional special worship opportunities.
Time Commitment: Approximately 8–10 hours per month.
Worship Praise Team
Use your gifts as a vocalist or musician to help lead engaging, meaningful worship. Team members prepare and serve together on a rotating Sunday schedule.
Time Commitment: Approximately 8–16 hours per month.
