Monday – February 1, 2021 – Ephesians 6:13
6:13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Monday is here and with it the first day of February. Welcome to a new month and unlimited opportunities to be a powerful representative, right where you are, for the Kingdom of Heaven. As we begin this new month, I want to add a new daily feature. In the Daily Walk Bible our readings each day includes an inspirational thought. Today I will begin sharing them in this blog as an additional thought for us to ponder.
A DROP OF PRAISE IS UNSUITABLE ACKNOWLEDGMENT FOR AN OCEAN OF MERCY.
In our previous pick verses Paul has laid out the reality of spiritual warfare in the life of believers. Today he begins to share how we can successfully stand against the devil’s constant attacks. Paul uses an illustration every believer in Ephesus and the entire Roman Empire could easily understand. On every street corner in every town throughout the empire Roman soldiers were stationed to keep the peace. These warriors were protected by a well-fitting battle-ready outfit. Paul instructs believers to “suit up” by putting on the whole armor of God. Doing so will provide the necessary protection to stand firm in the Lord during the days of our hardest battles of temptation and all the schemes of the evil one. Whatever trial or temptation we are facing right now, God is ready to provide all the protection we need to be victorious in spiritual warfare.
