Saturday – February 6th – Ephesians 6:18
6:18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—
Our Daily Walk Bible thought for today:
A CHRISTIAN’S SPIRITUAL HEALTH IS EXACTLY PROPORTIONAL TO HIS OR HER DEVOTION TO GOD.*
Happy Saturday and happy weekend. Cold and potential snow for the next several days may create new and different opportunities for each of us to grow in our faith journey. Extra time to read, watch, or study the Bible may present itself because of few moments of the extra snow/cold times this coming week.
In our pick verse for today, Paul wraps up the weapons of spiritual warfare available to each and every believer. This last weapon is not associated with the armor of the Roman solider but is a weapon that is always on the tip of our tongues. We are challenged to always be in prayer. This weapon is important because we can not win a spiritual battle without being in constant conversation with God. We are also encouraged to be always watchful because God does not give us victory without our full commitment and our best efforts. Paul concludes this verse by instructing our prayers to include earnest words spoken on behalf of other Christians. What a great day to spend some extra time praying for each other as we all engage in spiritual warfare.
Blessings
