Saturday – April 17th – Colossians 1:21

1:21 And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled
22 in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight--

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
THERE ARE SOME CHRISTIANS WHO CAN’T BE CALLED PILGRIMS BECAUSE THEY NEVER MAKE ANY PROGRESS.*

Good Saturday to you! Seems like another first day of the weekend where rain dominates the day. Of course, the old saying goes “April showers bring May flowers”, so we should welcome any raindrops falling on our head as a blessing from God.

Today we continue to explore Paul’s teaching on our reconciliation to God through Jesus. By and because of our sinful nature, our rebellion against the “will”, “way”, and “word” of God, we are seen as enemies of the Kingdom of Heaven. But Jesus changed our standing by stepping up to pay the penalty of our sins. The invitation to reconciliation has been extended, yet it is up to us to accept God’s offer of pardon and freedom. The purpose of God’s reconciling offer is to transform us into being holy and blameless – not blameless as others may see us, but blameless as God sees us. By God’s grace we can be what God expects us to be as a faithful follower of Jesus. The ball is in our court to be intentional in making forward progress in our faith journey. What can you do today that can help you move another step closer to God?

Blessings
