Monday – April 19th – Colossians 1:23    ----

1:23) if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.

Today’s inspirational thought from the Daily Walk Bible:
THE PERSON WHO FORGETS THE LANGUAGE OF GRATITUDE CAN NEVER BE ON SPEAKING TERMS WITH HAPPINESS.*

Good Monday to you! Yes, another week and another set of opportunities to service God and witness to God’s desire for life transformations. I am sure we probably all know someone who has exhausted all the human options in trying to change their life around. Friends, we know and have experienced the only real and lasting option – knowing God and living under God’s unconditional love and forgiveness. We have the good news of the Gospel on our life’s resume, so let us seize the opportunities to share that with others this week.

In our pick verses for today, Paul concludes his teaching on reconciliation through Christ by sharing a glimpse of his own personal transformation as a follower of Jesus. God will keep us blameless in God’s sight only if we continue investing in our faith throughout our lives. Otherwise, we will drift away from the hope of the Gospel by and through our own spiritual complacency. Faith is not a train to expediently ride, but a trail to patiently walk. Paul includes as a non-negotiable in our faith journey that we are also to live out our faith by seeking the opportunity to share the gospel. Not all people have heard or responded to the good news, but this gospel of life eternal was designed to be shared with all people.  Seems there is no escaping the responsibility of witness when we are faithful followers of Jesus.

Blessings
