Tuesday – October 12th – 2 Timothy 1:12     -----

1:12 For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
THOSE WHO FIND THEIR SENSE OF SECURITY IN CHRIST ARE NOT EASILY SHAKEN BY CIRCUMSTANCES OR OTHER PEOPLE’S OPINION OF THEM.*

Happy Tuesday to you! Another powerful and deep inspirational thought for us to wrestle with today. Again, a thought that we have probably verbally stated at some point in our life, or at least thought it in our minds. The reality is that this is much easier to speak then it is to apply. While we know that our security is grounded in and through our relationship with Christ, the thoughts and opinions of others can heavily influence how we respond to the world around us. To fully live into this statement requires us to gain experience that comes from trusting God. Our ultimate goal is for us to fully and completely lean into God through every difficult circumstance, as well as in every observation or comment that comes from someone else. Hang tough today and trust in God.

In our pick verse today, Paul’s uses his own experiences as the basis of his encouragement for Timothy to stay strong in ministry and church leadership. As he wrote this letter, Paul was in prison for defending his calling as an evangelist of the Gospel. Even being in chains did not stop Paul’s ministry, he carried on the advancement of the Gospel through others including Timothy. Even though Paul had lost all of his material possessions, he was confident that he would never lose his faith in God. He trusted God to use him regardless of his current circumstances. If we give our concerns to Jesus, He will guard our faith and safely guide us through every challenge in life, even up until the day of His return in glory. The greatest work for any believer is to remain faithful by trusting that God is in control of our lives.

Blessings
