Sunday – March 6th – Hebrews 10:1
10:1) For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
A PERSON CAN’T GO ANYWHERE WHILE HE OR SHE IS STRADDLING A FENCE.*

In our pick verse today, we begin chapter ten and a new focus on how we are moved toward sanctification by Jesus’ obedience. The Old Testament sacrifices, at best were only yearly reminders of our sin nature. The obedience of Jesus on the cross makes cleansing from sin possible for all who believe. The sacrifices under the law were only a foreshadow of the cleansing from sin and fellowship with God which were to come through Jesus. We are to boldly approach God as those invited by Jesus to worship in God’s presence. When we are cleansed from our sin our separation from God is removed. Because of Jesus’ sacrifice we can experience full forgiveness and community with God now and for all eternity.
Blessings
