WHEN WE PUT OUR CARES IN GOD’S HANDS, HE PUTS HIS PEACE IN OUR HEARTS.*
Welcome to Monday! Another first day of the week is ready for us to live to the fullest. My prayer is that each of us will have our eyes open and our hearts receptive to whom God places in our lives today. May we respond to each with gentleness, kindness, love, and encouragement in perfect measure for their need in that moment. Who knows, God may be sending someone your way with this same basket of blessings. Our inspirational thought stands alongside this challenge as it reminds me that when I am at peace, I am much better at passing along the peace that comes from God. However, if I am inwardly focused on my struggles they tend to grow into a heavier burden. Before you do anything else today, take a moment to give your cares and worries to God.
In our pick verses today, we transition into a new topic in that we are now able to draw near to God in faith. What God has accomplished through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus gives us Holy Spirit confirmed boldness to enter the very presence of God. Access to God was limited in Old Testament times to only Moses and the High Priest, but Jesus has opened a new and living way because He is our forever living Lord. The veil in the tabernacle separated the people from God, but through Jesus’ sacrifice the way to God has been opened to everyone who believes in Jesus. Yes, friends we can boldly and with confidence directly engaged in conversation with God through prayer. And, when our life here on earth is complete, we can walk into the Kingdom of Heaven with the boldness and confidence of a full and equally inheritor of the splendor of Heaven.
