10:36) For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:
37 "For yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and will not tarry.

THE BEST THING TO DO BEHIND A PERSON’S BACK IS PAT IT.*
Happy Tuesday to you! Our inspirational thought for today is one of those great things to say, but hard to put into practice. As believers in Jesus, we are to be an example of God’s love to others and to be an encourager in both word and deed. The temptation that the devil throws our way (at least mine) is to engage in talking about someone in a negative way when they are not around. The old saying goes that when we talk down about someone, we are attempting to raise ourselves up from a position of a low self-opinion. Who might you speak highly of this week, both to them directly and about them to others? The more we look for good in people the more good things we will have to say.
In our pick verses today, our author begins wrapping up this section and his focuses on encouraging us not to abandon faith in Jesus regardless of the struggles or trials we encounter in life. The reality of every person is that we will face hard times and challenges throughout various times in our life. This stems from the fact that we live in a fallen world and are constantly bombarded by the antics of the devil. These challenges are not unique to only Christians but to all humanity. However, as followers of Jesus we possess the spiritual weapons to beat the devil. One of the weapons we receive from the Holy Spirit is endurance. Faith in Jesus that is enduring is absolutely necessary for us to eventually receive the promise of eternal life. Jesus’ second coming is certain, as promised by God, and Jesus will reward all those who have remained faithful throughout their life.
