Friday – April 8th – Hebrews 11:29     -----

11:29)   By faith they passed through the Red Sea as by dry land, whereas the Egyptians, attempting to do so, were drowned.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
THOUGH YOU MAY ASK GOD TO DO SOMETHING FOR YOU, HE GENERALLY WANTS TO DO SOMETHING IN YOU.*

Good Friday to you – well actually next Friday is officially Good Friday, but today can be just as good if we have in us the attitude that was in Jesus. As we mark days off the calendar Easter is now only nine days away. Tomorrow (Saturday) the SunRise Family Ministry team hosts our first Easter Egg-Cellent Easter Adventure from 1:30pm – 3pm in the Twin Chimneys Parking Lot. There will be a petting zoo, pony rides, decorated Easter Trunks, and of course an opportunity for kids of all ages to be reminded of the real reason for Easter. Come and join us for the fun and fellowship. On Sunday we will celebrate Palm Sunday at 9:45am with a family worship service which will include songs by our Wednesday evening Seeds children’s choir. See you this weekend!

In our pick verse for today we continue our reading of the great acts of faith by the saints and leaders of the Old Testament period. Interesting to note that each of the acts of faith we study are all a result of God making a promise, people believing (often the impossible), and God delivering on His promise. Today we join the Hebrew slaves as they stand on the banks of the Red Sea with the Egyptian army in pursuit. God’s miracle of parting the sea was accompanied by the faith of the people to venture into the unknown. Today, we know that they walked across on dry ground and that the Egyptians army perished when the waters returned to normal. But, for the Hebrews, in the heat of that moment, they took each step across the seabed in faith that God would continue to hold back the waters. Looking back in life provides 100% confirmation of what God has done. Looking ahead requires 100% faith and trust in what God has promised to do. The size of your God will determine the confidence in which you will take your next step. How big is your God?

Blessings
