Monday – April 11th – Hebrews 11:32-34 -----
11:32) And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of David and Samuel and the prophets:
33) who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,
34) quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.

Good Monday to you! I hope you are as excited about beginning a new week as I am, especially with less than a week before we celebrate Easter Sunday. I know many of you are probably busy making plans for family gatherings filled with long-standing traditions. One tradition I hope is on your calendar for Easter is worship time with SunRise. We are expanding our in-building options for this weekend to include an 11am worship service to help ensure ample seating for those joining us inbuilding. I would encourage you to help populate the 11am time if at all possible. You can also add to your calendar our in-building only Good Friday service at 7pm.
In our pick verses today the author of Hebrews uses this portion of his faith chapter to include a select group of judges from the early days of the promise land settlement, as well as a king and a prophet to solidify his argument on behalf of those who placed their faith in God. Knowing that the list could be endless if he accounted for every act of demonstrated faith from Genesis to Malachi, we instead get a reader’s digest overview of the amazing actions of those standing on the faith of God promises. The one phrase that jumps out to me is that God can take our weaknesses and transition them into strengths that bring Him glory and honor. When we embrace a faith that believes God can and will do even greater works through us, we live in a world where everything becomes possible if it is in God’s will. What great thing is God preparing to do through your perceived weaknesses?
