Sunday – April 17th – Hebrews 12:3-4     -----

12:3) For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls.
4) You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
THERE ARE SOME CHRISTIANS WHO CAN’T BE CALLED PILGRIMS BECAUSE THEY NEVER MAKE ANY PROGRESS.*

Welcome to Easter Sunday 2022! The culmination of Holy Week arrives, just like the women who went to the tomb of Jesus, with the reality of a risen Lord. Yes, we celebrate today with all Christendom the reality of the tomb that once held the dead body of Jesus is still empty today. Not stolen, not hidden, not from wandering off, the tomb is empty because God raised Jesus from the dead. God makes the same promise to those who place their faith, trust, and belief in Jesus as their savior. Dead cannot, death will not, death shall not have the final say over the lives of believers. No one knows for certain what our future resurrected body will look like, but we stand with confidence on the promise of God that we will be free of pain, suffering, sorrow, sadness, or sickness. And a promise from God is all I need to be at peace in this life.

On this Easter Sunday our scripture verses focus on Jesus being our example of perfect endurance. When life’s situations cause us to be weary or discouraged, we are to think about Jesus. Remembering His example, we can gain courage in every situation in life. When we focus our lives to follow in His footsteps and have the power of the Holy Spirit in our corner our spiritual goals become reachable. When we remember what and how Jesus suffered on our behalf, our trials, persecutions, and struggles against sin will grow smaller. The empty tomb is an everyday reminder of the victory we have gained over sin and death! Tell someone today, no actually show someone today that He Is Risen!

Blessings
