The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
BLESS THE LORD TODAY; HE BLESSES YOU EVERY DAY.*

Hello Friday! The front edge of the weekend is here and what appears to be the first real taste of spring weather for the next couple of days. Outside activities, yard work, garden tilling, flower planting, and all the fun things that go with the awakening of the growing season will seek time on our weekend schedules. This weekend also marks the beginning of a new teaching series at SunRise – “3:16 Believer”. The Bible is filled from front cover to back cover with all that any of us need to discover a relationship with God that leads to eternal life. The Bible contains awesome stories of great faith, sad stories of unbelief, amazing stories of God’s love freely given to us undeserving humans, challenging stories of God’s tough love, and memorable verses to encourage us in times of struggles. Probably the most well-known Bible verse is John 3:16. Yet, if you would thumb through the Bible, you would quickly discover that almost every other 3:16 verse in the Bible tells the interconnected story of God’s plan of salvation. Yes, over the next four weeks we will explore a handful of 3:16’s that can encourage us, challenge us, correct us, and comfort us. Make plans to join us inbuilding or online.

In our pick verse today, the author is moving us in the direction to pursue and successfully achieve holiness in our lives. We are to strive for peace in relationships, which is the opposite of jealousy and strife. When God’s peace is present in our lives it will characterize and shape our relationships and interactions with every person we encounter. Then as we pursue holiness, we will be transformed into a heart cleansed of sin, which is described in the scriptures as sanctification.  When we are living a holy and just life we are being prepared to dwell eternally in God’s presence. Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross provides the encouragement for us to allow the Holy Spirit to help us live in peace with other people. Who needs to experience God’s peace in their lives through our actions today?

Blessings
