Sunday – August 21st – 1 Peter 1:8-9     -----

8) You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy.
9)The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
DRAW A CIRCLE AND GET INSIDE, THEN PRAY GOD WILL SEND REVIVAL WITHIN THE CIRCLE.*

Hallo Sunday! Yes, another international greeting. What country says “hello” this way?  Our inspirational thought for today fits in perfectly with our “Be The Change” series. Any lasting or powerful change has to begin with me. And the most important change we can make in the world today is a full-on, old-fashioned, Holy Spirit led revival. Those of us who are old enough can remember the call of the preacher to walk the sawdust trail to the front of the church to give a life to Jesus. True revival doesn’t end with a one-time commitment to Jesus, but it happens on a daily, hourly, minute-by-minute basis to ensure we are fully connected to the power, presence, and protection of God. When was the last time you drew a circle and standing inside prayed for God to revive you?

In our pick verses today, Peter draws upon his personal connection to Jesus to remind us that our strength comes from an even stronger connection to Jesus. Jesus said to Thomas, “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed”. We can live in pure and unbridled joy, even in the midst of personal suffering, because we confidently share in the promise of eternal salvation which we will fully receive on the day Jesus returns at the end of the ages. The apostle Paul reminds us that the sufferings of this present age are pale in comparison to the glories we will receive on our first day in Heaven. That alone can be the strength we need to endure even the worst day here on earth.

Blessing
