3:16) yet do it with gentleness and reverence. Keep your conscience clear, so that, when you are maligned, those who abuse you for your good conduct in Christ may be put to shame.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
HAS YOUR FAITH LOST ITS WONDER? HAVE YOU TAKEN YOUR EYES OFF OF HIM WHO IS TRULY WONDERFUL?*

Welcome to Monday! I hope you already have plans or even visions for a great week starting today. Our inspirational thought is perfect to help us kick-off this new week. Spiritual stagnation or passion pause is a real thing in the life of a Christian. Often it can be caused by our never letting up on the gas pedal of our calendars. Life comes at us fast and from all different directions. When our faith is one of the fatalities of a fast-paced life it is time to slow down and reprioritized. Spending time with Jesus is never time wasted and does more to relieve stress than add to it. Find some quiet time for just you and Jesus and let go of those things, either physically or spiritually, that serve to drag you down.

In our pick verse today, Peter continues to stress the importance of a Christ-like attitude in times of suffering for the Lord. How does a Christian face persecution? A fully committed follower of Jesus does not fear threats from others because God is with them. A focused disciple makes sure God is in complete control of their heart. A passionate witness is always ready to answer those who question their faith. And finally knowing that though God’s love their suffering is undeserved in God’s eyes. When we allow God to lead our lives, we will possess a clear conscience. God uses the good conduct of Christians who face persecution to make sinners ashamed and to bring them into a relationship with Him. Our witness is the strongest when we are willing to take a stand for God’s word, God’s will, and God’s way even if it leads to righteous suffering.

Blessings
