Monday – February 13th – I John 5:10      ------

5:10) He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
COURAGE IS THE KNOWLEDGE OF HOW TO FEAR WHAT OUGHT TO BE FEARED AND HOW NOT TO FEAR WHAT OUGHT NOT TO BE FEARED.*

Good Monday to you! Our inspirational thought today is a great way to kick off a Monday. Oh, to know the difference of what is worthy of fear and what falls short of being feared. What are your secrets to not be a person who is caught up in fear? For me, I have to first determine if my reaction is fear or worry. There is a big difference that can easily be lost when we asses a situation. While both fear and worry address things that our out of our control, fear can help us stay sharp and aware when confronted with danger. To worry simply means we fret over and obsess on things until we are paralyzed into inaction. If we cautiously move forward we can eventually overcome fears, but as long as we stand still, worry will wreak our lives and our health. Which is it for you on this Monday?

In our pick verse today, John shares how the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives helps us experience an abundant life in Christ. When we believe in our hearts that Jesus is our savior, we can receive perfect assurance from the Holy Spirit that His faith is well-grounded in us. On the other hand, to refuse to believe God’s testimony about the redemptive work of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection is to reject the witness of both the scriptures and the Holy Spirit. This response is equal to calling God a liar. When we witness on behalf of the Kingdom of Heaven we are to share what God has done for us and not give an editorial opinion on what we believe the scriptures might say.

Blessings
