Tuesday – February 28th – 1 John 1:10-11 -----
1:10) If anyone comes to your meeting and does not teach the truth about Christ, don’t invite that person into your home or give any kind of encouragement.
11) Anyone who encourages such people becomes a partner in their evil work.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
NO ONE IS SO OLD AS THE ONE WHO HAS OUTLIVED ENTHUSIASM.*
Hello Tuesday! Hey all you folks who are either instrumentalist or who like to sing with a group, the SunRise Worship Arts department is hosting a Meet n’ Greet Open House this evening (2/28) from 6pm-7:30pm. This is a great opportunity to share your talents and discover when you might plug into in the worship arts ministry. For more information you can contact jjones@sunrisefamily.org or jglenn@sunrisefamily.org
In our pick verses for today, John comes to the most important point in his warning against be caught up in false teachings. He strictly warns all believers that we must not support, in any way, a doctrine or movement that denies the full deity, fully humanity, or atoning death of Jesus. To appear to support them is the same as sharing in their evil deeds. Yesterday’s Daily Walk Bible summary reading stated that when we are discerning truth to make decisions for our lives, we should always do what brings honor and glory to God. Spending time in scripture is how we know when false teachings drift away from God’s word, God’s way, God’s will, and God’s when.
Blessings
Pastor Jim
