Sunday – March 5th – 3 John 1:3 -----
1:3) For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
GOD WILL KEEP ALL HIS PROMISES WHETHER YOU BELIEVE THEM OR NOT!*
May your Sunday be one filled with praise and worship, and one that far exceeds the pleasant valley type (bonus points for those that can name the reference in this greeting). Our inspirational thought is perfect for as we prepare to worship God today. One of the things we should always lift up in our praises is the promises God makes to us. We have the promise of everlasting life in His presence in the Kingdom of Heaven, we have the promise of the forgiveness of our every sin through the blood of Jesus, we have the promise of life abundant as we spend our time on this earth, plus a million more of God’s promises that carry us through each day. Yes, some of those promises can exceed, far exceed our limited human logic. Yet, faith is believing what doesn’t make sense and praise what is yet to happen. And that is far greater than the mindless routine of another pleasant valley Sunday.
In our pick verse today, John continues to lift up the spiritual depth of the disciple Gaius. Many of the traveling evangelists and missionaries reported to John the graciousness of Gaius and noted his intentional walk in God’s truth. The greatest compliment that John could give anyone is that their “walk”, their actions which were observable by everyone, was in the path of God’s truth. One can have the right doctrine in their head but if it does not connect to their heart then the knowledge falls far short of being the litmus test for a fully committed disciple. Learning the truth about God is the inspiration to move us into walking out that truth in our daily lives. Walking in the truth of God also means walking in the right actions and walking in the love of others. What do others observe in your “walk”?
Blessings
