1:8) Likewise also these dreamers defile the flesh, reject authority, and speak evil of dignitaries.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
GOOD CHARACTER IS LIKE GOOD SOUP—IT IS USUALLY HOMEMADE.*

Hello Tuesday! Hey blog readers in the shadow of the SunRise steeple this Saturday March 25th, we will be hosting a paper shredding day in the Twin Chimneys parking lot from 9am – Noon. The best part of the shred day is that the cost is a donation to the SunRise Food 4 Hope pantry. Yes, you read that correctly, just bring items for our pantry and your documents will be shredded. Check out www.sunrisefamily.org/foodforhope to see the latest list of needs for the food pantry.

In our pick verse for today, Jude adds current evidence to back is warning concerning false teachers in the church. After citing three examples of historic doom and gloom for the ungodly, Jude takes up specific charges against the enemies of the New Testament churches. By calling them “dreamers”, Jude may have been accusing them of supporting their false teachings by claims to divine revelations. Jude’s charges included their defilement of the flesh by gross sexual immorality. They rejected the authority of Christian moral standards and spoke evil of dignitaries (most likely speaking against God’s true messengers). The conceited teachers Jude condemned had rejected all forms of spiritual authority – human or divine. My takeaway from this is to be on guard and not be fooled by those who want to teach things contrary to the truth of God.

Blessings
