Thursday – March 23rd – Jude 1:10      -----

10) But these speak evil of whatever they do not know; and whatever they know naturally, like brute beasts, in these things they corrupt themselves.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
THE NUMBER OF TIMES THE AVERAGE PERSON SAYS NO TO TEMPTATION IS ONCE WEAKLY.*

Good Thursday to you! Mark you mission calendar for Saturday April 1st as the next opportunity to serve at the Sharing Shed ministry in north O’Fallon. Every first Saturday of the month a group of SunRise folks spend from 9am -11am volunteering their time and talents. A typical Saturday morning consists of opportunities to help sort through donations, load or unload vehicles, and/or assist clients locating items they need. You can sign up to serve at either the SunRise website or the SunRise app under the ”events” page. As of today, there are only four open spots remaining. Thanks!

In our pick verse today, Jude now contrasts the actions of Michael the archangel, with the actions of the false teachers. These supposed prophets presumed to speak evil of spiritual realities that they did not understand. We humans are very susceptible to the tempting of the devil to discard that which we cannot explain with human logic or reasoning. Because these false teachers scorned God’s power and authority leading to them becoming slaves to what they, like “brute beast”, did otherwise instinctively accept as truth within their limited human understanding. When we limit what God can do, we have limited what God can do for us in our human condition. Paul stated that the resurrection of Jesus is mere foolishness to those who do not believe, but for those who believe it is the power of eternal life. Such a divine logic makes the choice fairly simple for me.

Blessings
