Friday – March 31st – Jude 22-23     -----

1:22) And on some have compassion, making a distinction;
23) but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.

 The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
     A MAN CAN BE NO BIGGER THAN THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE FOR WHOM HE GENUINELY CARES.*

     Hello to Friday and the last day of March. I can’t exactly remember how March came in, but the forecast for the last day of the month in the shadow of the SunRise steeple calls for a high today near 70 degrees. That is a great exiting from this month for us to celebrate. Tomorrow (Saturday) our Family Ministry team will be hosting our annual Egg-Cellent Easter Adventure from 1pm-3pm in the Twin Chimneys parking lot. The fun includes Easter themed trunks, petting zoo, Kona Ice and Coffee Trucks, and the O’Fallon Fire Department. What a great way to celebrate the weekend before Easter and the first day of April.

     In our pick verses today, Jude wraps up his teaching on the importance for believers to stay connected to the truth of God. In these two verses he encourages Christians to extend compassion to those outside the church. But in so doing they should allow the Holy Spirit to lead them to discern and make distinction as to the motives of others. There will be some people that they should make every effort to witness to, but only with extreme caution and fear. The history of these folks’ lives is so defiled with false teaching and acts of immorality that they might confuse, or in turn corrupt, even those who would try to save them. We are to always allow the Holy Spirit room to operate in our lives so that our direction and discernment comes from God.

Blessings
