Hello Thursday! Attention all parents of youth who are in grades 2-4. This Sunday (4/16) our Family Ministry department begins First Communion classes at 9:45am. If your child is interested in discovering the meaning and significance of the celebration of Holy Communion this four-week class is perfect for them. A church wide celebration will be held on Sunday May 21st during the 9:45am service. You can sign-up for this class by going to the events page on either the SunRise App or SunRise website.
In our pick verse today, John continues to unveil the divine setting for this portion of his vision concerning the seven churches. Using familiar Old Testament symbolism, the triumphant Lord assures the seven churches of their own unique status as those among whom the risen Christ walks. The seven golden lampstands represent God’s people who comprise the church at work in the world. These seven churches will quickly learn that nothing is hidden from the knowledge of Jesus. All of our best and our worst are on full display for Jesus to see, nothing is hidden, no secrets kept, no inactions stay unnoticed. When Jesus begins to point things out, we need not argue, but simply start the process of transformation.
