Tuesday – April 18th – Revelation 1:17-18 -----
1:17) And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, "Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last.
18) I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
LENGTH OF SERVICE FOR GOD IS NOT NEARLY AS IMPORTANT AS BREADTH AND DEPTH OF SERVICE.*
Happy Tuesday! While this is an unusually unbusy week here at SunRise church, the following two weeks are jam-packed full of ministry and mission opportunities for you to both grow your spiritual journey and serve others along the way. First up is our Partnering with your Parents support group next Thursday (April 27th) beginning at 6:30pm. We are blessed to have Dominic Pontello as our guest speaker. Dominic is an attorney at law and will be sharing insights on wills, trusts, probate, and other legal matters of concern to our maturing parents. You are invited to join us by signing up at the SunRise Events page on either the SunRise App or Website. If you know of someone who might benefit from this new support group, please feel free to share this group invitation with them.
In our pick verses today, John now begins describing his personal interaction with Jesus. Upon seeing Jesus, John immediately falls at His feet as an act of awe and worship for being in the presence of God. Jesus’ touch of comforting response to John was a clear indication of the fullness of His deity. Jesus’ verbal words of comfort signified that Jesus is not only eternal, but through His death and resurrection He now has the ultimate, supreme, and only power to free us from the prison of Hell and death. The blood of Jesus brings our forgiveness of sin, and the resurrection of Jesus frees us from the separation caused by our rebellion. Praise God for His unconditional love and His free gift of grace.
Blessings
