Wednesday – April 19th – Revelation 1:19 -----
1:19) Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place after this.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
THE PERSON WHO FORGETS THE LANGUAGE OF GRATITUDE CAN NEVER BE ON SPEAKING TERMS WITH HAPPINESS.*
Welcome to Wednesday! Here is our mid-week public service announcement for upcoming SunRise events. While the Family Ministry Garage Sale is still a couple of Saturdays away (May 6), you can still bring items to sell anytime during the next two weeks. Your donations might be just what someone else needs to complete their perfect inventory of household items. For extra-large items please contact the church for a scheduled drop-off time. The proceeds from the garage sale will be used to support the youth mission trip to Eastern Kentucky in August.
In our pick verse today, John is instructed by Jesus to write the things he will see and the things he will hear to both the seven churches and to the church at large. Jesus’ revelation to John will describe things which are current realities, such as Jesus’ death, His resurrection, and the believers present sufferings. It will also speak of things which will take place in the future, such as Christ’s return and the final judgement of the world. The caution as we begin reading these future things is that it is impossible to accurately put a time or date on the things described in this book. Past attempts to do so have resulted in leading people astray and away from trusting God based on faith alone.
Blessings
