Tuesday - April 25th - Revelation 2:5     -----

2:5) Look how far you have fallen! Turn back to me and do the works you did at first. If you don’t repent, I will come and remove your lampstand from its place among the churches.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
PESSIMISM IS PULLING TOMORROW’S CLOUD OVER TODAY’S SUNSHINE.*

Happy Tuesday to you! Let’s get a jumpstart on you filling out your calendar for things happening at SunRise the next few weeks. On Thursday our next gathering of the “Partnering With Our Parents” support will meet at 6:30pm. Our guest speaker Dominic Pontello, Attorney at Law, will be sharing his professional insights on wills, trusts, probate, and elder care laws. This group is open to anyone (inside SunRise or in the community) who might benefit by expanding their knowledge, care, and support for their parents in these specific areas. You can register in advance by going to the events page on either the SunRise App or SunRise Website, or you can simply join us on Thursday evening.

In our pick verse today, we continue exploring the words of Jesus to the church in Ephesus. Jesus’ criticism against this church was that they had lost their first love for God. His words were an indictment of their spiritual infidelity and not one of spiritual immaturity by the Ephesian believers. The church in Ephesus had been a stellar church community, an instrumental port in Paul’s missionary journeys, and had been an ongoing source of encouragement and support for Paul.  In just two generations of Christianity the church in Ephesus had moved from stellar to stagnant in their fruitfulness for the Kingdom of Heaven. For those who willingly turn from following Jesus will be excluded from His church unless they repent of their spiritual infidelity.

Blessings
