In our pick verse today, Jesus closes out his letter to the believers in Ephesus with a promised reward for those who hear His warning and pursue their first love once again. All who are willing are invited to hear (obey) what Jesus says through the Spirit to His church. When we listen and follow the way of Jesus than our actions will always lead us to a victory against the devil and his attacks against us. We will receive the fruit of the tree of life as promised in this verse. This is our eternal life given to us which Adam lost through his sin in the garden of Eden. Knowing that God has promised us an inheritance in the Kingdom of Heaven is a great reason we should seek to passionately rekindle our first love of Christ.
