Happy Saturday and happy weekend to you! Yes, another great spring weekend to enjoy God’s beautiful creation. In our pick verse today, Jesus shares with the believers in the church of Thyatira the reward of their faith. When Jesus returns at the end of the ages, He will share with those who remain faithful the sovereign authority that He has received through His victory over sin and death. We can be assured that all believers who remain faithful to Christ will share in His rule over the world. We often talk about what the rewards of faith may be like – eternity in God’s presence, new spiritual bodies, Heaven with its streets of gold, and mansions prepared for us, but what we tend not to factor in is that before we get there, we will be required to endure the struggles of this life. Paul in his letter to the Christians in Rome said that the sufferings of this present age pale in comparison to the glories awaiting us in the world to come. That right there is the encouragement we need to hold onto when life becomes over challenging.
