The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
TO KNOW GOD’S WILL IS LIFE’S GREATEST TREASURE; TO DO GOD’S WILL IS LIFE’S GREATEST PLEASURE.*

Hello to another Monday! Today marks the halfway point in this month and places us just two weeks from the “official” start of the summer holiday season. Between then and now will be numerous graduations at virtual every level of academia, countless summer vacation plans will be placed on calendars, and Vacation Bible School directors will be making final pushes for kids, volunteers, and supplies. What will be the “bigs” for you these next two weeks? Don’t forget in the midst of your planning to take a moment to include your discipleship growth plans as part of your summer fun.

In our pick verse today, John begins writing the fourth of his seven letters to the churches of Revelation. Sardis was the capital of the Lydian empire and one of the greatest cities of the ancient world. Located on the banks of the Pactolus River, Sardis was 60 miles inland from Ephesus and Smyrna in now modern-day Turkey. In His opening introduction, Jesus refers to the seven Spirits which represent the Holy Spirit, and the seven stars representing the seven churches. Jesus who holds authority over both, is able again to send the life-giving Holy Spirit to the dead church at Sardis.

Blessings
