Tuesday – May 23rd – Revelation 3:10     -----

3:10) Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
DO NOT PRAY THAT THE POOR BE FED UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO PROVIDE THE BREAD.*

Happy Tuesday to you!!! Wow, what an in-your-face inspirational thought. Well at least for me, as it got right up uncomfortably next to me. Many of us can see the shortcomings in the world, we can recognize when a wrong needs to be righted, yet how often do we see ourselves as part of the solution to the problem. The devil tempts us to be well-schooled in giving directions, but all too often equally tempts us away from rolling up our sleeves and jumping in. With most of the week still ahead of us, join with me in taking a challenge to see and do before anyone else notices.

In our pick verse today, Jesus gives the believers in Philadelphia a brief insight to the glory that awaits them at the end of the ages. Because they have intentionally worked to keep Jesus’ commands, they are encouraged to continue to persevere during future challenging times. Our personal responsibility in working out our salvation is to continue to keep our eyes focused on Jesus and to keep His commandments. The hour of trail in which Jesus’ refers to in this verse could be interpretated to be one of two things. Frist, God will keep His faithful believers safe when they pass through life’s tests. Second, the believers will be spared the judgement God is going to send on the unbelievers of the world. Either way we win, we will be safely sheltered from the storms of life then and now.

Blessings
