Thursday – May 25th – Revelation 3:12-13     -----

3:12) He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. And I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.
13) He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:

Good day Thursday to you!  What another great inspirational thought for us today. I have often experienced in my life that the only thing I have absolute control over is my attitude. Situations will come and go, circumstances will constantly change, while many times my expectations will fall to the side of what benefits me the most. The devil constantly tempts us with negative reactions to unfavorable outcomes, often resulting in those moments of anger. Yet, our strength is not in our own abilities but in the power of Jesus and the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives. God is the only one who can change our attitude to the positive side of the equation.

In our pick verses today, Jesus closes out His words to the believers in Philadelphia. Jesus’ assurance to these early Christians still is His word to the faithful believers of today. Those who overcome the challenges of this world will be made a pillar in God’s temple and will be given a permanent place in God’s presence. Additionally, Heaven bound believers will have blessings and ownership of God’s name inscribed upon them. Finally, believers will carry a passport to the New Jerusalem gaining them their citizenship in God’s eternal home. What a great promise for all those who remain faithful to God’s word, God’s way, God’s will, and God’s when.
