Happy Friday to you! Tomorrow (Saturday) is the day for our monthly Cars and Coffee gathering from 8am-10am in the McClure parking lot at SunRise. We have every kind of car you can imagine – from antiques to classics to muscle cars to just off the showroom floor. Come and browse to do a little remembering and maybe a little bit of wishing. Please park in the Twin Chimneys lot if you are not showing a car. No pre-registration is necessary to bring a show car or to just walk around. The entire event is free for everyone.
In our pick verse today, Jesus provides the ultimate reward for those who are faithful, and faith-filled followers of Him. For the wavering, lukewarm, comfortably content believers in Laodicea, Jesus gives them to opportunity to change their ways and to receive the free reward of faith. This promise of Jesus for believers to share in His glory in the Kingdom of Heaven is a promise that goes far beyond our limited imagination of what Heaven will be like. This promise is not to be taken as a mere opportunity for a photo op with the throne of Heaven. This is not a stop for new arrivals on some perceived tour of the inner sanctum of Heaven, but this a iron clad promise for those who are faithful in this life to share with Jesus in God’s eternal rule of the universe. That my friends, is walking in pretty tale cotton.
