Tuesday – June 13th – Revelation 4:2-3 -----
4:2) And instantly I was in the Spirit, and I saw a throne in heaven and someone sitting on it.
3) The one sitting on the throne was as brilliant as gemstones—like jasper and carnelian. And the glow of an emerald circled his throne like a rainbow.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
WE HAVE NO POWER FROM GOD UNLESS WE LIVE IN THE PERSUASION THAT WE HAVE NONE OF OUR OWN.*
Happy Tuesday to you! Less than one week and counting. Yes, it is less than a week until the start of SunRise Vacation Bible School 2023 edition. Next Monday the building will be filled with sounds of kids, youth, and adults as they wing off on a “Stellar” out of this world adventure. If you grabbed one of the supply tags or ordered online – a great big thanks to you! All donations need to be at the church this week, with perishable items more toward the end of the week. Please keep all the kids and leaders in your prayers for a great week of fun and Jesus.
In our pick verse today, we get our first glimpse of the unfathomable majesty and splendor of Heaven as experienced through John’s vision. The one true God whom John witnessed is beyond any human description and far exceeds any of the words we have at our disposal. In this vision God’s throne fills the entire scene described by John, thus giving us an awareness of God’s unlimited and unmatched power. These opening words sets the stage for God’s unquestioned authority that will set in motion the end of the world as we know it.
Blessings
Pastor Jim
