Sunday – June 25th – Revelation 5:6 -----
5:6) And I looked, and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
WHEN YOU PRAY, DO YOU GIVE GOD INSTRUCTIONS, OR DO YOU REPORT FOR DUTY?*
Holy and healthy Sunday to you! What a great inspirational thought for us as we prepare to spend time worshipping God today. Really, there is not much explanation needed so I will just move on to another topic. As a reminder our inspirational thoughts come from the Daily Walk Bible reading program. If you are part of this version of reading through the Bible in a year, then over the last couple of days you have experienced some biblical milestones. On Friday you read from the shortest chapter in the Bible – Psalm 117, then in Psalm 118 you reached the middle of the entire Bible. On Saturday your read through the longest chapter in the Bible in Psalm 119. Of course, if you are not following this program, you can always jump to Psalms and experience the long, the short, and the middle of God’s holy word.
In our pick verse today, John’s heavenly vision now focuses on the appearance of Jesus at the throne of Heaven. By Jesus being positioned in the midst of the throne indicates that He shares the full and complete authority with both God the Father and the Holy Spirit over the entire universe. Jesus is victorious because He is the lamb who was crucified for our sins and then raised from the dead. Seven, in the Bible, is the number representative of completion. Thus, the seven horns show that Jesus has all power and the seven eyes that He has all knowledge. The seven Spirits stand for the all-sufficient Holy Spirit. Whatever we may be facing in our lives today we can rest assured that Jesus is always our protector and our friend.
Blessings
