Friday – June 30th – Revelation 5:14 -----
5:14) Then the four living creatures said, "Amen!" And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped Him who lives forever and ever.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
PRAISING AND ADORING GOD IS THE NOBLEST PART OF THE SAINT’S WORK ON EARTH, AS IT WILL BE HIS CHIEF EMPLOY IN HEAVEN.*
Hello Friday! Even though we are in the middle of summer break for our schools the Food 4 Hope ministry takes no breaks. The schools we work with still supply students with food and essential hygiene items during the summer months. If you want to help keep the supply chain moving then this month we could use your donations of pasta, canned ravioli, snack crackers, granola bars, and fruit snacks. Bring them to the church or have them shipped to the church address. God has blessed each of us so that we can be a blessing to others.
In our pick verse today, we bring chapter five of the book of Revelation to a conclusion. Our scene is focusing on the throne of Heaven where Jesus is receiving the scroll containing the finality of the world as we know it. Surrounding the throne is a massive choir of angels, symbolic creatures, and honored elders of Heaven. This praise song of Heaven ends in today’s verse with a resounding and unified “amen”. The meaning of “amen” adds to the emphasis of the choir’s ending notes. In Hebrew, “amen” can be translated as “to be reliable” and “to be trusted”. The Greek can be translated as “so be it”, while the English Bible it has frequently been rendered as “verily”, or “truly”. Next time you respond with an amen, remember the powerful affirmation it has on what has just been stated.
Blessings
