6:2) I looked up and saw a white horse standing there. Its rider carried a bow, and a crown was placed on his head. He rode out to win many battles and gain the victory.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
WISDOM OPENS THE EYES TO BOTH THE GLORIES OF HEAVEN AND THE HOLLOWNESS OF EARTH.*

Happy and blessed Sunday to you! Our inspirational thought is perfectly placed to help set our attitude for a day intended for worship. It is so easy to only focus on things of this earth while giving our lip service to God. But when we spend time in scripture and time enhancing our relationship with God then we will be able to see how inverted our priorities are in this life. Yes, we need to be fully engaged in doing the best we can while here on earth, but every decision we make needs to run through the filter of God’s way, God’s will, God’s word, and God’s when. Have a great day worshiping the one who created you in His image.

In our pick verse today, John records the first of the seven images as the scroll of destiny is opened in Heaven. As each seal was opened, events signaling the end of the world took place before Him. With the breaking of the first seal came four riders on horseback. With the first rider John saw a white horse with a rider holding a bow. This is the only rider who didn’t bring an immediate and obvious catastrophe to the earth. While there is significant debate as the true meaning of this white horse and rider, the best bet is that it represents the human lust for conquest and power. Especially when our human selfishness will always lead to warfare, famine, and death – symbolic of the next three horses. When we lust for power, control, and conquest many people suffer along the way.
