Sunday – July 9th – Revelation 6:11     -----

6:11) Then a white robe was given to each of them. And they were told to rest a little longer until the full number of their brothers and sisters —their fellow servants of Jesus who were to be martyred—had joined them.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
VIRTUE HAS MORE ADMIRERS THAN FOLLOWERS.*

Happy Sunday to you! Mark your calendar for a couple of exciting upcoming Sunday events at SunRise.  Next Sunday we will be celebrating “Retro Sunday” worship. You folks have voted and the top three Contemporary songs from yesteryear will be our featured music at 9:45am. Mark your calendar for July 16th and let the music take you back to the songs of your sort-of-youth. And then hang around after either service for an introduction and question/answer meeting for the new Fresh Start campaign. Until then enjoy worship today!

In our pick verse today, John’s vision continues to focus on those whose lives were given in service for the Gospel. The white robes issued to each of these saints signifies that God accepts them as righteous and redeemed. His instance on waiting a little longer means He is not yet ready to pass final judgement on the world because He is waiting for others who will die for their Christian faith. This intentional wait fully indicates that there will be those who during these catastrophic events of history will give their lives to Christ. Sad to think that it would take the events we have read about in this chapter to finally get people’s attention. Our calling is to be praying that they will reach out to God now, so they can avoid what will happen then.

Blessings
