Saturday – July 15th – Revelation 7:1     -----

7:1) After these things I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
SEEING GOD FOR WHO HE IS WILL OPEN YOUR EYES TO WHO YOU ARE.*

Welcome Saturday! Ah, yes, another beautiful July weekend is here for us to enjoy. I am especially excited that we begin a new teaching focus on Sunday at SunRise. “Fresh Start” is the opportunity for us to celebrate the new SunRise Church as we begin fresh as a new independent church family. This series will explore five biblical stories where God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things for the Kingdom of Heaven. An important part of our “Fresh Start” is a church wide campaign to pay off the original mortgage on our building. You can find out more about the campaign by attending a “Fresh Start” informational meeting after either of the in-building worship services on Sunday. You can also go to www.sunrisefamily.org/freshstart to get information or to make a pledge to pay off the mortgage. Thanks!!!

In our pick verse today, we begin chapter seven of John’s heavenly vision of things yet to come. As an interlude between the opening of the sixth seal and the opening of the seventh seal, John describes two visions of encouragement for God’s people before moving back to the end-time tribulation that follows. The four angels in this verse are God’s agents for the final judgement on the earth. Their control over the four winds is temporally holding back the destructive forces that will come from every direction on earth. They are being held in check until God’s people who have repented since the rapture are securely protected from the wrath that will be poured out on the earth.

Blessings
