Friday – July 21st – Revelation 7:15-17 -----
7:15) Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them.
16) They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat;
17) for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
EVERY LOSS LEAVES A SPACE THAT CAN BE FILLED BY GOD’S PRESENCE.*
Howdy to Friday! I wanted to share again the urgent reminder that our quarterly blood drive is on Monday the 24th. We are surprisingly slow on sign-ups while the demand for blood is on the rise. If you are able and available to give blood, please visit the events page on either the SunRise app or website to make an appointment. Donation times are from 3:30pm to 7:30pm. Thanks!
In our pick verses today, John paints the most comforting and exciting picture of the throne room of God. There exists a lot of ideas, wishes, and thoughts of what Heaven will be like and what we will be doing in Heaven. I admit that I have a few of my own that I like to roll around in my head. But these three verses give us the insight that we will be forever in God’s presence praising Him while our every need is taken care of and all our pains and sorrows gone. There is no more of a beautiful description of the saints in the presence of God that exists anywhere else in all scripture. The interesting contrast is that Adam and Eve attempted to hide themselves from God’s presence because of their sin (and we all follow suit), but when our sins are forgiven, we delight to be forever in the presence of God. What an eternal difference Jesus makes.
Blessings
