Saturday – July 22nd – Revelation 8:1 -----
8:1) When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
WALKING BY FAITH MEANS BEING PREPARED TO TRUST WHERE WE ARE NOT PERMITTED TO SEE.*
Hello Saturday. Wow, another weekend in July is here. Hope you have plans to enjoy God’s beautiful outdoor creation over the next couple of days. On Sunday we unveil our second story of God using ordinary people to do extraordinary things for the Kingdom of Heaven. Our story this week is how Joshua was given simple directions to win the battle of Jericho. Our series – First Steps – is both a celebration and a challenge for the SunRise family to take steps forward to where God is calling us to populate the kingdom. Join us in-building, online, or on-demand. The Holy Spirit is present in all three options. And don’t forget after the 9:45am service is the annual SunRise picnic.
In our pick verse today, we move into chapter eight and pick up where we left off in chapter six with the opening of the seals on the scroll of destiny. This final seal, the seventh seal, stands in complete contrast to the beautiful heavenly scene we left behind in the closing verses of chapter seven. The seventh seal brings us to the end of human history. All in the presence of God understand what is about to happen and their response at the seals opening is complete silence for 30 minutes. This scene describes the silence of a breathless reverence and expectancy as all inhabitants of Heaven patiently wait for the hand of God to move forward with the fate of those who defiantly remain in the world.
Blessings
Pastor Jim
Sunday – July 23rd – Revelation 8:2
