Happy Saturday to you! Tomorrow is week #4 of our current “Fresh Start” teaching series. We are exploring some of the great stories in the Bible where God has walked alongside regular people to move them from being ordinary to being extraordinary for the Kingdom of Heaven. What is our part in this transformation process? We simply need to be open to the invitation of God to join Him where He is already at work. Our story this week is learning that to walk on water we first must get out of the boat. Join us in-building or online to worship with your SunRise family.
In our pick verse today, John continues to describe the hideous looking creatures unleashed upon the earth as the history of the world winds down. John observed that their hair was like that of a woman, which may symbolize their antennae waving in the wind. Some ancient warriors, particularly Parthians, wore long flowing hair as a symbol of fierceness and strength. Their teeth, like lions’, were necessary for tearing apart the flesh of their prey. Again, fierceness and strength come to mind with such an image. One can only imagine what will be going through people’s minds when they see these creatures swarming toward them.
