Saturday – August 26th – Revelation 10:7 -----
10:7) but in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, the mystery of God would be finished, as He declared to His servants the prophets.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
GOD LOVES EACH OF US AS IF THERE WERE ONLY ONE OF US.*
Hello Saturday! This weekend we are ready for part two in our current series “Food, Fire, & Fangs”. Yes, you read that series title correctly and if you missed worship last weekend than this is a series of three stories from the book of Daniel that focus on God being greater than the tactics of the devil’s feeble attempts to distract us from growing in our faith. As followers of Jesus, we have been granted the gift of eternal life in Heaven, but until we step through the gates of Heaven, we are for the meantime engaged in spiritual warfare. The devil’s job description is to disrupt our relationship with God and destroy our relationships with other people. This week’s story will focus on the “fire” story and how God is greater than human pride.
In our pick verse today, John concludes the speech from the mighty angel of God who stepped in between the sounding of the sixth and seventh trumpet of judgement. The angel states that when the seventh angel appears and blows the seventh trumpet the “mystery of God” will be made know to all. You might discover in your studies that many scholars have trouble understanding and explaining this phrase “the mystery of God”. I think it could best be described as the final realization of truth to those who have continually and consistently rejected the divine authority of God. What we have known as believers will be made crystal clear to the unsaved that “the mystery” is God’s plan of salvation for those who believe in Him. This could very possibly be marked as the point of no return for those opposed to the thought of the one true God.
Blessings
