The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD RESULTS IN A LOVE OF GOD.*

Good Saturday to you! We have arrived at another great weekend made for worship. On Sunday we conclude our “Food, Fire, & Fangs” series with Daniel’s time in the lion’s den. Daniel ended up hanging out with the lions because of the jealousy of his workplace peers. While they despised that Daniel was so great at his job, it was his daily and unwavering devotion to God they used to get him in trouble with the King. The devil will use whatever means available in an attempt to disrupt our relationship with God. For Daniel it was the jealousy of his co-workers, for others it may be the jealousy of acquaintances, or maybe the jealousy of those who oppose your spiritual walk. The closer we are to God the greater God’s protection in times of spiritual warfare. Looking forward to worshipping with you this weekend.

In our pick verse today the two witnesses are now more closely identified by their previous location in the throne room of Heaven. John calls these witnesses “lampstands” to show that they represent the church. In the early chapters of Revelation, Jesus’ words to the seven churches all identified them as having a “lampstand” of God. And for those churches that failed to return to God’s way, Jesus said their lampstand would be removed. As for sending a pair of witnesses, Jewish law required two witnesses to verify a fact or establish a truth. Drawn from Zechariah 4:11-14, the olive tree symbolizes the work of the church which is fully empowered and eternally protected by the Spirit of God.

Blessings
