Tuesday – September 5th – Revelation 11:7 -----
11:7) When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
AS LONG AS WE LIVE, WE SHOULD MORE AND MORE BE TURNING FROM ALL THAT IS EVIL AND TO ALL THAT IS GOOD.*
Good Tuesday to you! I wanted to share with you a ministry that is very important and very rewarding at the same time. SunRise has a wonderful meal ministry that provides meals during times of surgeries, homebound, and funerals. We are adding to our current team that includes folks who would like to fix main meals, or sides, or desserts, plus when needed help in setting up and serving meals for funerals at SunRise. You sign up for the SunRise Meal Ministry Team by going to the events page on either the SunRise app or website. Thanks!
In our pick verse today, we continue to read about the work of the two witnesses John described in his end-times revelation. Just a warning - as the reminder of the book of Revelation unfolds the action is fierce and the visions are challenging to read, accept, and/or understand. But we know that God is in full control of each moment as this divine drama unfolds. The testimony of the witnesses (the church and its people) is recognized by the beast that ascends from the pit for exactly what it is: a direct attack on him and the forces of evil in the world. When the church has fulfilled its role of witnessing about the power of God, they will be killed by the beast. All of this is under God’s sovereign plan and at times believers will pay a painful price for remaining committed to Him. While this may be hard to believer or accept, the task of God’s people is to witness, not to survive. This is especially true in the final days of this world.
Blessings
